Happy Friday all.
For the 122nd time in the past 120 years (the event was canceled in 2020 due to the pandemic), the Tontitown Grape Festival will take place just north of Fayetteville this weekend. There’s a carnival, live music, and of course, lots of chicken spaghetti (that’s one thing). Here is more information about it.
In the air, that of Georges will launch on weekends with the locals, Full House during happy hour. Later Friday, local bluegrass band The Damn Neighbors will celebrate the release of their new album with their friends Lonesome Narrows. On Saturday, The Mixtapes of Springfield will perform.
There is a great gravel bike ride from Place Fayetteville on Saturday morning. It’s part of the Fayetteville adventure series that we talked about not too long ago. Here is a little more information about the series.
Theater Square has a brand new comedy that opened this week. The new show is called American mariachi and is described as “a hilarious and heartwarming new musical about the freedom to dream big”. Here is more on that.
How about an art exhibition? On Friday evening, a large group exhibition opens on Mount Sequoyah, titled “Resilient Together: The Artist’s Journey through Liminal Space”. We wrote about this earlier this week.
There is a country show at Walmart AMP this weekend with Lady A, Carly Pearce, Niko Moon and Tenille Arts.
Also of note, local legends The Cate Brothers will be playing the new Railway park at Rogers on Saturday night.
Please let us know what you’re doing this weekend in the comments below. Have a good weekend !
