Upcoming lineup announced for the Belmont Filmhouse
Spring has finally arrived, but if you need a place to shelter from all the sun, Belmont Filmhouse has an absolutely breathtaking lineup of films to keep you busy.
The rightly hyped, The Worst Person in the World is now screening at Belmont Filmhouse, a film that is sure to break your heart and put it back together.
To celebrate awards season, Belmont Filmhouse is giving audiences another chance to experience some of the biggest contenders for the 2022 Oscars, including Nightmare Alley, Parallel Mothers and The Power of the Dog (March 28-31). Licorice Pizza, Dune, West Side Story and The Lost Daughter (April 1-7) and Drive My Car (April 8-14).
Cyrano, the timeless tale of a harrowing love triangle and Berta Basholli’s stunning feature debut, Hive (April 2-7) will also arrive at the Belmont on April 1.
Friday 8th April brings some recent hits from this year’s Glasgow Film Festival including The Outfit with Marc Rylancea story of youthful rebellion in Murina and The Novice, writer-director Lauren Hadaway’s feature debut that’s a bold and captivating take on obsession with a stunning lead performance.
Don’t miss The Hermit of Trieg (April 8-10), a riveting examination of the vulnerability of old age and the awe and wonder of a lifetime, the dark tragicomedy The Sacred Spirit (April 11-14 ) and Three Floors (April 11 – 14), an adaptation of Eshkol Nevoís’ bestseller.
Audiences can also look forward to a screening of Rebel Dykes on April 9, a documentary telling the untold story of a community of women in 1980s post-punk. This special screening will be followed by a discussion and a performance.
