Asia Society Texas Center hosts a series of outdoor film screenings on the museum’s lawn, featuring Asian and Asian-American films. “Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon” (PG-13) is an epic saga set in the wuxia world of 19th century Chinese martial arts, telling the story of a mythical sword and those who wield it.

Registrants will meet at the Sabine Street boat launch for a canoe trip led by members of the Houston Audubon Young Professionals Advisory Council, which will highlight flora and fauna with a focus on the hundreds of species of birds that migrate in our region. The group will stop in front of Houston’s new mural, “Confluence,” dedicated to migrating birds from Houston’s major waterways.
