Dropkick Murphys Launches Powerful New Video For “Good As Gold”
Boston Celtic punk band Dropkick Murphys have released an energetic new video for their song “Good As Gold”. The song is from their album Mount that dial. The video was directed by Dave Stauble of Punchdance Studios and features a performance by Dropkick Murphys up close and personal.
Co-singer Ken Casey said: “‘Good As Gold’ celebrates the music that shaped the band. These are the precious vinyl albums we all listen to, collect and cherish – and the video shows how this music connects fans across generations. This is about the important role that music has played in our lives. The outside world can go on. Boom, you put on your headphones, drop the needle, and nothing else matters. It’s about the hope I got from the music, all the inspiration, and how it helped me take out my frustrations. “
“Good As Gold” is a very rhythmic song, with a strong and anthemic guitar. In the video, the group stands around a little boy listening to Dropkick Murphys on his record player. They all go crazy when they see the boy enjoying the song.
This year, from August to October, The Dropkick Murphys are on tour with Rance. The tour was called Boston to Berkeley II. Their first tour from Boston to Berkeley, which was in 2017, included stops in Boston and Berkeley. This time, punk veterans haven’t literally traveled from Boston to Berkeley, as neither location is planned. However, they made stops all over the United States.
